About the job

We are now seeking our next Global Product Safety Specialist. You will be responsible for supporting the business on product safety related documents; such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels. This role ensures regulatory compliance and supports business goals by providing proactive classification and labeling advice along with critical information to both internal and external customers and other parties.

In your future role as Global Product Safety Specialist you will

· Ensure regulatory compliance for safety data sheets, labels, and hazard communication documentation.

· Support global harmonization of product safety processes for compliance with GHS standards.

· Represent  product lines for chemical regulations compliance in assigned regions.

· Manage data quality for physical, chemical, and toxicological assessments of products.

· Monitor and communicate regulatory developments for hazard communication and transportation.

· Participate in complex PSRA projects, such as global product launches.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Provide daily operational support and plan long-term supply chain and business function needs.

· Support creation and maintenance of product safety processes and tools globally.

· Assist in managing substance and raw material portfolios with PSRA colleagues.

· Coordinate regional product safety support for documents and information.

· Lead or support product safety-related projects.

· Establish harmonized processes within area of responsibility.

We believe you bring

· B. Sc/M.sc in chemistry or other relevant field

· Extensive experience in regulatory, environmental or R&D depending upon base education.

· Excellent communication skills in English

· Experience with SAP EH&S or similar environment/health/safety management software tool

· Good knowledge of chemical regulations, hazard communication and product stewardship

· Experience and ability in reading, interpreting and analyzing regulatory text and communicating it effectively to non-regulatory experts
