Chemical Operator


As a chemical operator, you will play a key role in a chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while contributing to the smooth operation of the process.

In your future role as Chemical Operator you will  

  • Adhere to all safety & environmental regulations at the site.
  • Operate chemical processes, whether continuous or batch, to ensure production runs smoothly.
  • Adjust instrument settings and formulas based on lab or supervisor instructions. 
  • Promptly report safety issues, concerns, or equipment deficiencies to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with fellow operators to maintain seamless workflow in your process area.
  • Maintain accurate logs & records related to your process operations.
  • Conduct basic analytical tests to ensure the proper functioning of the process.
  • Keep your work area clean & orderly.
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as needed.
  • Use tools safely and effectively to carry out your duties.
  • Participate in health, safety, environmental & sustainability (HSES) activities. 
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance HSES processes at the Salisbury site.
  • Assist in training colleagues to help them achieve certifications in their areas.
  • Follow applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for tasks within your role. 

 
We believe you bring 

  • HS diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time effectively 
     

Good to know

The chemical operator will work 12-hour shifts, rotating days & nights. Starting pay for this role is $25.46/hr, with a subsequent to $29.86/hr, within 4 months, depending on performance.
